The buildings include the main house, a 2 storey single
slip boathouse with guest accommodation upstairs for 2,
a dry boathouse, a sleeping cabin and a converted ice house.
Impeccably maintained, each building is a dream. As currently
configured the island accommodates a family of four plus
the guest suite.
Charleston Lake has a rich history going back to the 1700s
and for more than 100 years the area has had a reputation
as a wonderful vacation spot for families and fishermen
alike. The lake is well known for its bass and lake trout
fishing, good boating and excellent swimming. Above all
it is renown for its tranquility. For many years now the
Provincial Government on behalf of Charleston Lake Provincial
Park and The Charleston Lake Association have been working
together to preserve the natural and cultural elements of
the area. Charleston Lake is a special place.
